In passive sentences, the focus is on what is done rather than who is doing it. Some passive sentences in Spanish use 'ser' + past participle. In passive sentences with 'ser', the past participle must agree in gender and number with the noun it acts on. The word 'por' means 'by' when it appears after 'ser' + past participle. Unprepared questions often focus on opinions and past experiences.
