Show transcript
'Interesar'-type verbs express likes, emotions, interests - they work differently to normal Spanish verbs.
Instead of saying 'I am interested in something', we say 'something interests me' - 'me interesan estas aplicaciones.'
'Interesar'-type verbs agree with the subject, the ‘interesting thing(s)’; indirect object ‘me’ shows who is interested.
Emphatic pronouns are used after prepositions such as 'a', 'para' 'sin', 'sobre', 'con'.
When used after 'a' before an 'interesar'-type verb, emphatic pronouns emphasise the person affected by the verb.
