Show transcript
The verb 'tener' means 'to have, having'. Its forms are: 'tengo', 'tienes', 'tiene', 'tenemos', 'tenéis', 'tienen'. An idiom is a phrase which does not translate word-for-word into another language. The idiomatic expression 'tener' + noun is translated as 'to be' + adjective in English. The term 'artificial intelligence', 'la inteligencia artificial (IA)' in Spanish, was coined by scientists in 1956. AI use is now transforming daily lives; we can use 'tener' + noun expressions to discuss benefits and concerns with AI.
