I can translate complex sentences from English to Spanish in the context of people’s experiences of racism in Mexico.

Present-tense verbs ending in -gir or -ger have a spelling change in the 1st person singular e.g. dirigir > dirijo.
[gi] and [ge] are pronounced as in ‘imaginar’ and ‘gente’.
[j] is pronounced as in 'ojo'.
You can use context, cognates and prior learning to aid reading comprehension.
Before translating from English into Spanish, it is important to consider the grammatical features involved.
