Show transcript
The subjunctive expresses uncertainty, wishes, emotions or future possibilities.
Subjunctive verb forms include: 'ser' → 'sea', 'tener' → 'tenga', 'hacer' → 'haga' and 'ir' → 'vaya'.
'Querer', 'pedir', 'decir', 'insistir', 'recomendar', and 'sugerir' are verbs of command and request.
Use a verb of command/request + 'que' + subjunctive when you want someone else to do something.
When one person is doing the action, verbs of command/request are followed by an infinitive.
