I can use the verbs 'ir' and 'hacer' in the preterite tense to answer questions about a past trip.
Show transcript
The preterite is used for completed past events; two key irregular verbs are 'ir' and 'hacer'.
'Fui', 'fuiste' and 'fue' mean 'I went, 'you went' and 'she, he, it went' respectively.
'Hice', 'hiciste' and 'hizo' mean 'I did, made', 'you did, made' and 'she, he, it did, made' respectively.
There is no word in Spanish for ‘on’ before a day of the week. Instead, the definite articles 'el' and 'los' are used.
