Lesson outcome

I can use -er and -ir verbs in the past (preterite) to understand and ask questions about past experiences of moving to live in another country.

Show transcript
Regular -er/-ir verbs: 1st, 2nd, 3rd person singular PAST preterite (-í, iste & -ió). Some -er and -ir verbs whose stem ends in a vowel add an extra 'y' in 3rd person singular forms in the preterite tense. When forming questions including a preposition, place the preposition at the beginning of the sentence.
