I can use the past (preterite) to talk about what people did on a trip to Valencia.

[gue] sounds like 'llegué', [ge] sounds like 'gente'. Regular -ar verbs: 1st, 2nd, 3rd person singular PAST preterite (-é, -aste & -ó). Subject pronouns yo, tú, él, ella; we usually omit the use of subject pronoun. There are some contexts where the use of subject pronouns is appropriate
