Identifying features of a voice message helps to revise key vocabulary and grammar. Composing a message yourself means selecting the nouns, adjectives and verbs you are going to use, then writing it. Rehearsing what you are going to say helps you improve fluency, i.e. how smooth and natural speech your speech sounds. Repeated rehearsal improves your pronunciation, speed and intonation, some key components of fluency.
