Show transcript
The purpose of a conclusion is to summarise the key points in a text, providing closure to the subject. A summary sentence is the opening sentence of a conclusion and summarises the key points in a text. A conclusion begins with a formal fronted adverbial. There are no new facts or information about the subject in the conclusion. A conclusion finishes with the writer suggesting to the reader how to find out more about the subject.
