Show transcript
Retelling a story helps us to remember the main events and use storytelling language, such as 'Once upon a time,'. Story mountains map out the beginning, middle and end of a story. Traditional tales often have repeated main events. Using sequencing language such as 'The next day,' at the start of the sentence helps the reader follow the story. Using descriptive language will make the story more interesting when writing.
