I can write short sentences using 'être' and adjectives ending in -eux, -euse to say how I, and others, are feeling on different days.

Practising the sound-symbol correspondence [eu] in a poem can anchor the knowledge. Adjectives ending in -eux change to -euse in the feminine form. ‘Je suis’, ‘tu es’ and ‘elle, il est’ are all parts of the verb ‘être’ (to be, being).
