[é/er/ez] is pronounced as in 'écrire'. To form -er verbs in the present tense, remove -er and add the endings -e, -es and -e for the singular verb forms. To say ‘(in order) to do something’ or ‘without doing something’, use 'pour' or 'sans' before a verb in the infinitive. Ask intonation questions in French by raising your voice pitch; add a question word at the end for more information.
