Show transcript
To make an adjective feminine we can: add -e, -x to -se, -el to -elle, -en to -enne, -f to -ve, -er to ère.
If an adjective ends in mute -e, there is no change to form the feminine e.g. 'triste'.
To form plural adjectives we add an -s, unless the adjective ends in -x or -s. -al and -eau change to -aux and -eaux.
[è] sounds like 'tête', important when pronouncing feminine agreements of adjectives ending in -er: 'entier', 'entière'.
