The sound-symbol correspondence [ci] and [z] have different pronunciation to [si] in most parts of Spain. The SSC [ci], [si] and [z] are pronounced the same in Latin America, parts of southern Spain and the Canary Islands. The verb 'tener' is used to talk about possessions. The verb 'ser' is used to talk about permanent traits. The verb 'estar' is used to talk about temporary states/moods and location.
