Show transcript
Using knowledge of vocabulary and grammar is a useful strategy for completing gap-fill tasks. The perfect tense is used to express what has happened, e.g. 'I have gone'. To form the perfect tense, use 'he', 'has', 'ha', 'hemos', 'habéis' or 'han' (from 'haber') + past participle. To form the past participle of regular -ar verbs, remove the -ar and add -ado. To form the past participle of regular -er and -ir verbs, remove the -er/-ir and add -ido.
