I can use nationality adjectives as nouns in the context of national and cultural identity.

Masculine nouns ending in -or gain an -a when referring to a woman or girl. Some nouns relating to jobs have specific feminine forms e.g. el jefe > la jefa. Adjectives of nationality can be used as nouns to refer to people from a particular country. Cultural icons are people or artefacts identified by members of a culture as representative of that culture. Cultural stereotypes are oversimplified ideas, beliefs or images ascribed to all members of a particular culture.
